Swaminarayan Temple Ukai 💓

Ukai is a small town in southern Gujarat on the banks of the Tapi River. The BAPS Swaminarayan Chhatralaya has been built there to accommodate the overwhelming need for affordable and comfortable boarding for students attending surrounding colleges and universities. There are over a hundred students enrolled in the hostel. The hostel is managed by sadhus and volunteers. The BAPS Swaminarayan Chhatralaya, Ukai provides the right mix of comfort, inspiration, and guidance for students to progress academically and spiritually.

Janki Van (Gujarati: જાનકી વન) is forestry project (park) developed under Gujarat Forestry Development Project by Social Forestry department, Gujarat. Janki Van is located at Bhinar village, Vansda tehsil, Navsari district, Gujarat, India.

The Forest Department of Gujarat State maintains the Janki Van. This park developed for environmental protection, nurture-breeding of forestry conservation, tourist place and wild herb-grown up, etc. Plantation areas in this park are named as Ashok Van, Panchvati Van, Amravan, Sindoori Van, Chandan Van, Rashi-Nakshatra Van, Navgrah Van, Dashmul Van, Bili Van and Aushadi Van. Visitors can know about each tree at an interpretation centre. It is believed that Janki Mata (Sita Mata) had once lived in this area.^[1]

According to the Newspaper, the tourists would get complete information about the plants and also about tribal culture, Ayurveda and Yoga at the interpretation centre.

Janki Van remains closed on Monday for maintenance. In normal days, 10 AM to 6 PM, depending on the sunlight.

On the celebration of 66th Forest festival of Gujarat state^[2] Janki van was inaugurated on August 2, 2015 by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. This park has 15.66 hectare area containing various type species of forest plant, interpretation centre, tribal hut, kid park etc. This park situated between Vansda-Vyara main road (NH-953) and Vansda-Chikhali main road. Unai is 6 km away from this place is nearest narrow gauge railway station on Waghai to Billimora route.^[3][4][5]. Ukai Dam ❤

The Ukai Dam, constructed across the Tapi River, is the second largest reservoir in Gujarat after the Sardar Sarovar. It is also known as Vallabh Sagar. Constructed in 1972, the dam is meant for irrigation, power generation and flood control. Having a catchment area of about 62,255 km² and a water spread of about 52,000 hectares, its capacity is almost same as that of the Bhakra Nangal Dam. The site is located 94 km from Surat.

On June 3, 2019, the water level in the dam was 275.65 feet, while in 2018, at the end of monsoon season, the water level in the dam was 319.07 feet.” Water from Ukai dam is supplied for irrigation, drinking and industry purposes in Surat, Ankleshwar, Tapi, Navsari and Valsad districts.

The flood would break through its banks, causing damage to towns near the river. 100 km to the east of the dam is Surat, which is India's 8th largest city. The flood might be able to reach that city, and if it does, the 4.5 million people who live there will be in danger.

આમ તો દેશભરમાં કોઈપણ ગામ કે શહેર પહોંચી જાવ તમને કંઈ નહીં તો હનુમાનજીનું એક પ્રસિદ્ધ મંદિર તો મળી જ જશે. માટે જ આપણે ત્યાં કહેવાય છે કે ભગવાન કરતા તેના ભક્તનો મહિમા વધારે હોય છે. ત્યારે આપણા ગુજરાતમાં પણ હનુમાનજીના કેટલાક ચમત્કારીક અને સ્વયંભુ મંદિરો આવેલ છે.

આવું જ એક મંદિર એટલે તાપી જિલ્લાના સોનગઢ તાલુકામાં આવેલ ગુણસદા ગામું રોકડીયા હુનુમાન મંદિર. હવે એક મેસેજ મોકલી Whatsapp પર મેળવો ન્યૂઝ, શરુ કરવા માટે અહીં ક્લિક કરો અહીં હનુમાનજી સાક્ષાત બિરાજીતા હોવાનું માનવામાં આવે છે. રોકડીયા હનુમાનજી નામ પડવા પાછળું કારણ પણ ઘણું રસપ્રદ છે. અહીં આવતા ભક્તો મુજબ આ હનુમાનજી એટલા ચમત્કારીક છે કે ભક્તોને તેનો પરચો રોકડો એટલે કે તાત્કાલિક મળે છે.

જેથી તેમને રોકડીયા હનુમાન કહેવાય છે. માનવામાં આવે છે કે જો કોઈ સાચી શ્રદ્ધા સાથે એકવાર હનુમાનજીના આ સ્વરુપના દર્શન કરી લે છે તેમના જીવનમાં ક્યારેય કોઈ સમસ્યા રહેતી નથી. આ મંદિરનો ઈતિહાસ 250 વર્ષ જૂનો મળી આવે છે. અહીં વડના તોતિંગ વૃક્ષના થડમાં સ્વયંભુ હનુમાન બિરાજેલા છે.

એક સમયે ગીચ જંગલ વિસ્તારમાં આવેલા આ મંદિરમાં આવતા શ્રધ્ધાળુઓને હનુમાન દાદાના અનેક પરચા મળ્યા હોવાની પણ કથાઓ છે. આજ કારણ છે કે આજે પણ આ મંદિર શ્રદ્ધાળુઓમાં ભારે આસ્થાનું કેન્દ્ર છે. એક માન્યતા એવી છે કે મોગલ જેવી મોટી સલ્તનતને પાણી પીવડાવનાર છત્રપતિ શિવાજી પણ આ મંદિરે રાત્રી રોકાણ કરી ગયા છે. અહીં દર મંગળવાર અને શનિવારે ભક્તોની વિશેષ ભીડ જોવા મળે છે.

આ ઉપરાંત હનુમાન જયંતી અને વારતહેવાર પર આસપાસ જ નહીં પરંતુ ગુજરાત અને અન્ય રાજ્યોમાંથી પણ હનુમાન ભક્તો અહીં દર્શન માટે આવે છે. અંતરીયાળ ગામડામાં આવેલ રોકડીયા હનુમાન ધામ પહોંચવા માટે તમારે સૌ પ્રથમ જિલ્લા મથક તાપી પહોંચવું પડે છે. અહીંથી રાજ્ય સરકારની બસ અથવા પ્રાઈવેટ વાહનમાં ઉકાઈ તરફથી જતા તાપીથી 14.5 કિમી દૂર લીલીછમ હરિયાળી અને જંગોલ વચ્ચે આવેલું છે નાનકડું ગામ ગુણસદા અહીં આવેલ છે આ ચમત્કારિક મંદિર.

Ahwa Dang The Beautiful Place❦

Don is a hill station and village in Dang district of Gujarat, India. It is touted to be the second hill station in state after nearby Saputara.

The village has a pleasant low temperature climate throughout the year. The hill station is rich in bio-diversity. There is a hillock named after Dronacharya. There are waterfalls and caves near Pandav village on the approach. Monsoon season brings the most number of tourists to Don Hill Station. After October, the weather gets hot and number of tourists drop significantly until the following June.

There are no accommodation facilities or restaurants available.
